Established in 2010, CASA Works Inc.’s mission is to work for abused and neglected children in the Juvenile Courts of Bedford, Coffee and Franklin Counties to ensure that every child has the right to the safe embrace of a loving family. The funds requested in the application will support the salary of the Bedford County Supervisor. She has been a valuable source in helping to revitalize Bedford County volunteers and the court system. The requested funds will also purchase volunteer training materials addressing Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). CASA Works will recruit, train and supervise CASA Volunteers to advocate for abused children in the Juvenile Courts of Bedford, Coffee and Franklin Counties for a goal of 10 new Volunteers. Six months following closure, 90 of the 100 of the children (90%) will remain in the safe embrace of a loving family.
