Since 1974, Mid-Cumberland Human Resource Agency has remained true to its mission: “To help people help themselves by providing knowledge and resources to improve the quality of life in the Mid-Cumberland Region.” The Mid-Cumberland Elder Abuse Program continues to provide essential services and care to some of the most vulnerable citizens of the Mid-Cumberland region in order to enable these individuals to safely maintain their long-earned and well-deserved independence at home for as long as possible. The funds requested in the application will support 7,500 hours of direct service in Davidson County serving 90 clients depending on the needs evaluated in each case. 65% of 90 clients served will state that direct care support helps keep them safely living abuse-free and independently at home. 60% of 90 clients served will show at least a one point decrease in a loneliness survey on a scale of one to ten with ten being the highest level of loneliness.
