Nashville Children’s Alliance

Established in 1992, the mission of the Nashville Children’s Alliance (NCA) is to reduce the trauma of child abuse victims and their families by facilitating a comprehensive multi-disciplinary team approach to detection, investigation, prosecution, and treatment of child abuse. NCA provides a child-focused environment designed to meet the needs of abused children and their families for comfort, safety, support, and treatment. The agency’s goals/outcomes for the year include: 190 children, ages 3-17, will receive trauma-focused services from clinical therapists to help them heal from the trauma of abuse. 85% of these children will decrease identified symptoms and increase improved functioning and/or positive coping at home and at school as evidenced by parental report and /or the pre and post-test trauma assessment tool. Through the CPIT process, NCA will review 1,404 cases of the projected 1,872 new cases (80%) to ensure quality case management and collaboration between investigative partners resulting in better case outcomes for the children served in Davidson County.
