For the past 32 years, Safe Haven has served as the only shelter-to-housing program in Middle Tennessee that accommodates homeless families. Through comprehensive education, counseling and support, families are equipped to depart shelter with affordable housing and a detailed plan for employment. Safe Haven’s mission is “to empower Middle Tennessee homeless families with children to achieve lasting self-sufficiency.” The agency’s goals/outcomes for the year include:  72 of the 90 families served will maintain employment and housing after program departure for six months or more.  The housing coordinator will secure five new partnerships and ten units in 2017.
