Special Kids, Inc.

Established in 1998, Special Kids is a Christian Therapy and Nursing Center for children with special needs ages birth to 21 years. The grant requested in this application will support Camp Ability counselor salaries and professional services. 12 out of 21 (57%) of caregivers of campers will gain strategies for dealing with anxiety from taking care of a child with special needs after attending the caregiver support sessions led by a Branches counselor. 12 out of 21 (57%) of caregivers of campers will demonstrate reduction in feelings of isolation after attending the caregiver support sessions led by a Branches counselor. 13 out of 21 (62%) caregivers of campers will demonstrate improvement in self-care after attending the caregiver support sessions led by a Branches counselor.
