Established in 2000, Ashley’s Place strives to deliver comprehensive, coordinated, child focused services to victims of child sexual abuse, severe physical abuse and/or witness to violence. The Center strives to protect child victims from further victimization throughout investigation and prosecution and assist in the beginning stages of healing. The funds requested in the application will support Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for individual child victims of severe abuse. 100% of the 26 children receiving TF-CBT will show a reduction in behavioral symptoms. 80% (20 children) of the 26 children receiving TF-CBT will show a reduction of 50% or greater as measured by the UCLA PTSD index in the areas of avoidance, re-experiencing, and increased arousal. 90% (23 children) of the 26 children seen for TF-CBT will meet a minimum of 75% of their goals set at the onset of therapy as measured using a subjective measurement tool unique to the Center.
