Williamson County Child Advocacy Center (dba Davis House Child Advocacy Center)

Williamson County Child Advocacy Center dba Davis House Child Advocacy Center opened in 2000. The agency provides a safe, child-friendly place for child victims of sexual and/or severe physical abuse to tell their story and receive the services they need to help them heal. The agency’s mission is to combat child abuse by coordinating services to children and their families in crisis and providing community education focused on prevention and early intervention. The agency’s goals/outcomes for the year include: 49 out of 55 (89%) of child victims who complete all treatment goals during calendar year 2019 will show a reduction of trauma symptoms such as sleeplessness, fear, or anxiety based on standardized pre- and post- assessments so that they may be able to reduce trauma related behaviors; and 60 out of 75 (80%) of child victims (whether or not they complete all treatment goals) will have increased feelings of safety or reduced anxiety based on pre- and post-assessments during calendar year 2019 and will know who their trusted adults are.
