Wilson County CASA, incorporated in 1987, is celebrating 30 years of saving families in Wilson County. The mission of Wilson County CASA is to provide trained volunteers who advocate in court for the stability and healthy development of abused or neglected children. The funds requested in the application will support the salary and benefits for the Volunteer Coordinator. 207 of 218 (95%) of children served will not have a change of advocate, thus ensuring continuity in the oversight of their care, needs, and healthy development. Wilson County CASA will retain 60 out of 76 (80%) active volunteers, and will recruit, train and supervise an additional 16 volunteers.
