In 2007, Building Lives Foundation, Inc. (BLF) was formed by a group of Middle Tennessee business and community leaders, who recognized the severity of homelessness among Veterans in Nashville. The agency mission is to help homeless veterans and their families successfully transition to independent living in permanent housing. The funds requested in the application will support participant drug testing, medications, co-pays, the Resource Manager/Counselor and a new part-time Addiction Therapist. 12 of 17 (75%) will remain sober for 3 months. 15 of 17 men (90%) will report increased coping skills within 12 months. 15 of 17 men (90%) of participants will reduce their depression symptoms as measured using PHQ assessments.
