Children’s Advocacy Center Thirty First Judicial District was established in October 2000. The agency delivers exceptional services to victims of severe child abuse. Their team directly reduces the trauma from abuse, through our provision of a well-coordinated multi-disciplinary investigation. Children’s Advocacy Center Thirty First Judicial District vigorously fight to break the cycle of child abuse by providing prevention services through education. The funds requested in the application will support trauma-counseling sessions. By the end of their counseling sessions, 60% of the child victims who actively participate in specialized trauma-focused counseling will show an improvement in their assessment scores on the UCLA Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Assessment. After meeting with the Victim-Family Advocate, 80% of non-offending caregivers will indicate they feel capable of their ability to satisfy basic family needs and feel knowledgeable of community related resources, as evidenced by a volunteer survey.
