The mission of the Coffee County Children’s Advocacy Center (CCCAC) is to serve children who are victims of abuse through prevention, education and intervention. The CCCACs vision is for communities to exist where children are safe, families are strengthened and victims are healed. The CCCAC was established in late 2004 and started serving children in the summer of 2005. The funds requested in the application will support a portion of the Children’s Advocacy Center’s costs to maintain a trauma focused therapy program including contracting with a therapist(s) who can provide trauma focused therapy to children who have been victims of severe abuse and their non-offending families as well as supplies, overhead costs and ongoing training as needed.
