Kid’s Place has been providing services to child victims of abuse in the 22nd Judicial District since 1999. The agency’s mission is to reduce the trauma of child abuse by providing a child-focused environment for the coordinated intervention, multidisciplinary investigation, and treatment of child sexual and severe physical abuse in Lawrence, Wayne, Giles, and Maury Counties of Middle Tennessee. The agency’s goals/outcomes for the year include: 30 of 40 (75%) children will demonstrate a reduction in at least two symptoms related to PTSD using the UCLA PTSD Reaction Index. 100 of 125 (80%) of caregivers receiving individualized Family Advocate sessions will demonstrate an increased sense of safety and security on the Caregiver Follow-Up Survey.
