Founded in 1893, Monroe Harding has continually adapted to meet the needs of children who have been abused, abandoned, and/or neglected. Monroe Harding today is a healing community where youth and families make meaningful change so that hope, not past trauma, is the heartbeat of their future. The funds requested in the application will support a portion of the salary and benefits of the Director of Clinical Services and staff therapists; a portion of the costs of biweekly trainings provided by outside clinical consultants; and the full costs of instructors for therapeutic yoga and other expressive arts. 18 youth (60%) will reduce trauma related symptoms. 18 youth (60%) will demonstrate improvement in self-concept, anxiety, depression, anger, and behavioral issues.
