Our Kids, Inc.

Established in 1987, Our Kids was formed as a public private partnership with Metro Government to respond to child sexual abuse. Our Kids is the only organization in Middle Tennessee providing forensic medical evaluations and crisis counseling in response to child sexual abuse. Our Kids also conducts research, trains both professionals and citizens regarding sexual abuse and provides expert testimony in court proceedings all over Middle Tennessee. The agency’s goals/outcomes for the year include: 577 (74%) will be over age 3 and 61% (352) will be referred for appropriate assessment/counseling services. 421 (54%) of caregivers will be referred for additional services such as non-offending parent groups, offender counseling, drug and alcohol treatment, psychotherapy, etc.
