Park Center has been a place for hope and recovery for people with chronic mental illness, homelessness, and addiction since 1984. Park Center’s mission is to empower people who have mental illness and substance use disorders to live and work in their communities. The agency’s goals/outcomes for the year include: 22 of 225 (10%) adults with serious mental illness will show improvement in managing mental and/or physical health issues. 30 of 178 (17%) adults with mental health and substance use disorders will identify triggers of use and negative life consequences and/or the coping skills needed to sustain a lifestyle of recovery. 30 of 100 (30%) homeless individuals will receive a psychiatric evaluation, medication, wound care or basic medical care through the Street Psychiatry partnership with Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
