Renewed Life Ministries Outreach received funds for mental health support for families of men recovering from substance abuse. The agency’s outcomes include: Of those who join the six-week peer support group for significant others, 8 of 10 participants (80%) will report improvements to 4 out of 8 Self Care domains according to Virginia Satir Self-Care Rating Scale; and of the five families anticipated to share the bank of family counseling sessions, four families (80%) will report progress within the treatment goals set at the start of their initial session.
