Founded in 1986, Room In The Inn’s mission is to provide programs emphasizing human development and recovery through education, self-help and work, centered in community and long-term support for those who call the streets of Nashville home. Emphasizing the scriptural ideals of love and community through service to the homeless, Room In The Inn also provides faithful people of Nashville an opportunity to respond directly to the broken and disenfranchised. The funds requested in the application will support membership, workshops, consultation fees, materials needed, and incidental expenses for leadership and staff development. 30 out of 40 employees (75%) when surveyed in April 2017 will report that they felt supported and less compassion fatigue through the months of winter shelter than in previous years. 30 out of 40 employees (75%) will report that they feel better equipped to perform their day-to-day jobs after attending the regular staff meetings.
