Safe Soldiers And Families Embraced Inc (SAFE) has provided free counseling to active duty military, veterans and their families (for deployment difficulties, trauma, marital counseling and other stressors related to transitions) since 2011. The funds requested in the application will support 422 counseling sessions for service members, veterans, military couples and/or family members and continuation of yoga program that allows for introduction of mindfulness techniques and exercise to target emotional regulation for clients in therapy. Of 35 intake assessments of potential new clients, at least (80%) at least 23 will complete 6 sessions of individual counseling or 4 sessions for couples. Of those, at least (70%) will report meeting counseling goals and will see significant improvements in their (Outcomes Ratings Scale) scores within their treatment plan.
