Sexual Assault Center

Established in 1978, Sexual Assault Center’s (SAC) mission is to provide hope and healing for children, adults, and families affected by sexual assault and to end sexual violence through counseling, education, and advocacy. SAC is the only Middle Tennessee agency that exclusively provides treatment for sexual assault survivors to mitigate the impact of their trauma. The agency’s goals/outcomes for the year include: 490 clients (70% of 700) will reduce two or more trauma-related symptoms, and utilize tools learned to cope with their trauma. SAC will also increase the number of Hispanic, African American, and LGBTQ survivors served by 10%.
