Founded in 1976, Tennessee Association Of Alcohol, Drug and other Addiction Services Inc (TAADAS) has goals to increase awareness of, access to and influence on treatment and recovery resources for stakeholders throughout Tennessee. Through advocacy, the agency seeks to improve health for Tennesseans by ensuring adequate recovery supports; ensuring insurance providers make decisions that are trauma-informed and not biased in favor of single adults without family obligations; and develop coalitions addressing prescribing privileges for Nurse Practitioners/Physician’s Assistants to address a provider shortage limiting access to MAT.
