Established in 2003, The Next Door is an organization that offers a full continuum of evidence-based substance abuse treatment services and support for adult women struggling with addiction and co-occurring disorders related to mental illness, trauma, and/or incarceration. The Next Door’s mission is to serve these women and their families with the best care possible and from a place of Christ-centered compassion in hopes that each woman understands that she is not defined by past decisions and is capable of living a whole and hopeful life. The agency’s goals/outcomes for the year include: all programs will maintain 80% occupancy in 2019; 80% (296 of 370) of detox clients will successfully complete the program without the complications and will transition to a lower, less intensive level of care; and 80% (374 of 468) of residential clients who complete treatment and have a co-occurring diagnosis will report a decrease of mental health symptoms upon completion of the level of care.
