Founded in 2002, Conexion Americas builds a welcoming community and creates opportunities where Latinos can belong, contribute, and succeed. Through holistic programming, Conexion Americas helps Latino families learn English, become homeowners, file taxes, start businesses, and help their children succeed in school and graduate from college. The funds requested in the application will support two full-time co-located mental health counselors at Casa Azafran and at the Martha O’Bryan Center. 90% of 270 or 243 children and/or adults will report positive changes and show progress towards goals on their action/treatment plan and through a closing post-reflective question at each session. 85% of 270 or 229 children and/or adults will demonstrate improved coping and increased connections in regard to their reason(s) for seeking services.
