KIPP Nashville’s vision is that one day every student in Nashville will have access to a college-preparatory public school seat. The school’s mission is to cultivate in its students the academic and character skills needed to succeed in top colleges and life beyond. KIPP Nashville began with KIPP Academy Nashville in 2005. The funds requested in the application will support a portion of the annual salary for the Director of Student Services (DSS). The DSS manages the Student Health and Family wellness program staff, resources, and community partners. 65% (215 of 330) of students identified for individual counseling will improve their score by 2 points on the Pediatric Symptom Checklist (Youth or Parent Report) during the 2018-19 school year. 95% (1,615 of 1,700) of KIPP Nashville students will be present on any given day during the 2018-19 school year.
