Rocketown was founded in 1994 by Contemporary Christian Music Artist Michael W. Smith with a mission to offer hope to the next generation through Christ’s love. Rocketown’s approach to working with youth is holistic, with programs focused on engaging the mind, body, and spirit; nurturing the physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual health of Middle Tennessee’s youth. The funds requested in the application will support certified counselors to provide individual/group counseling and a case manager. 44 out of 55 (80%) of youth served will report a 30% improvement in symptomatic distress, interpersonal well-being, and social role satisfaction. 60 of 75 (80%) youth served in group therapy sessions conducted by the Case Manager will report in 12 months that they have experienced improvements in at least two areas of the Group Session Rating Scale (GSRS) (i.e. relationships with peers or working through grief/emotions).
