Established in 1993 in Williamson County, CASA advocates for abused and neglected children within the juvenile court system. It is the goal of CASA to see every child in a safe and permanent home. CASA advocates essentially become the eyes and ears of court, helping the judge determine the best interest of the children in her courtroom. The funds requested in the application will support part of the salary of the Program Director. 100% of new advocates will be assigned a case within 60 days of swearing in. 85% of advocates who are active July 1, 2017 will remain active on June 30, 2018. 85% of cases will remain closed for a minimum of one full year after reaching permanence.
